A spoon which can be used simply as a coffee spoon for stirring or placed on top of a glass for serving Absinthe. This spoon express a relationship between a daughter and her father.  The idea is to create a spoon that serves the both of them despite their different tastes in beverages. The flat part of the absinthe spoon was saw pierced in the shape of a feather to represent the daughter as a bird under the protection and care of her father. The tight twist that connects the handle to the bowl of the spoon represents the father as a cautious and traditional man. There are different changes of thickness and twist through out the handle which show the differences between the daughter and her father. It is believed that a daughter is an extension of her own father. The handle that connects the two ends of the spoon is seen as a representation of a strong bond between them despite their divergence in certain aspects.
