Sand Tiger Shark Jaw Display
3.7 x 3.2 x 3 cm
Sterling Silver
2017
Designed and created through 3D modeling software, 3D printing and metal casting, this piece is a resemblance of a shark jaw display in a museum setting. The concept of this piece is to explore the relationship between predator and prey. Sharks are seen to be one of the top apex predators in the world but human is seen to be the ultimate predator in the world. We hunt animals for our own profit regardless of their importance in the nature. This jaw display intends to ask the question: What would happen if sharks became extinct and only man-made metal shark jaws were on display in aquariums and museums?
